Grief and loss are profound and universal human experiences that touch every individual, shaping their physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual well-being. As mental health practitioners, understanding grief and loss in both theoretical and practical terms is essential in providing effective support to clients navigating these challenging experiences. In light of the collective grief amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic, economic uncertainties, and global crises, mental health professionals must be equipped with evidence-based and culturally informed interventions to address the unique ways individuals and communities experience loss.
This two-part workshop series is designed to prepare mental health practitioners to better serve their clients and communities by deepening their understanding of grief and loss and offering tools to intervene effectively. By integrating current research, cultural considerations, and practical techniques, participants will gain the skills necessary to support diverse clients experiencing grief in its many forms.
